Books and Basketball

Last night I went to Books and Basketball in Roslindale and tutored a student in Spanish. She is the daughter of one of my co-workers. We studied the use of the preterite and imperfect tenses. She is taking Honors Spanish and is very bright. She is a high school freshman but was able to make the varsity cheerleading team. She seems to be off to a very bright start to her high school experience. She has to get up at 5 am every day to get ready and take her 45 minute bus ride to school - - she's been doing that since the second grade. In Littleton the LDS high school kids were dying when we had to go to 6 am seminary, and by the looks of some of those kids they were waking up at about 5:55 am. All of the non-LDS kids were seeminly getting up well after 6 am. Pretty interesting . . .
