700
A friend of mine works at the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU. She worked late Friday, until about 9:30 pm. The previous year on this occasion she had worked until about midnight. The occasion is auditions, auditions by 700 high school students hoping for admittance to fine arts programs, and for scholarships. My friend helps make various arrangements for a Saturday for which the participants have prepared for years. The students come with their "support groups" of family and friends. One can imagine the nervous energy and anxiety flowing through the HFAC on these audition days. I've never even heard of such a thing until today.
